Christmas with the Fishers

Today was our early Christmas celebration with the Fisher side of the family.
We piled the kiddos in the car, hoping they would nap on the way to Redmond ~ no such luck ~
and drove to Uncle Rich and Aunt Missy's house, where we were able to visit with them, cousin Hayden, Uncle Steve and Aunt Sandy.  It was so much fun visiting with everyone!
Alli was in rare form today and had a blast entertaining the family ;-)

Poor Eli, having refused to nap on the drive, was EXHAUSTED and actually fell asleep in my arms,
which I must admit that I completely LOVED!!!
How sweet is our baby boy????
He slept through the gift opening but Alli was all too happy to "help" by opening his presents for him ;-)
Of course, she had to decorate Barbie Pop Pop and Uncle Z with the bows ;-)
A wonderful kick off to the Christmas celebrations!

Alli's Preschool Christmas Program

Today was Alli's Christmas program at Noah's Ark Preschool and it was ADORABLE!!!
Our little Alli did such a great job singing and signing all of the songs.
We were so proud of how well she performed ~ no stage fright at all :-)
She was so excited to have so many people there supporting her . . .
Daddy, Mommy, Eli, Miss Kaitlyn, and both sets of grandparents!
While we were waiting for the show to begin, Eli decided to take pictures with Ducky Gramma's camera,
I love how you see her hands holding the camera in every shot!

Alli was so excited to see her family in the audience!  Love that smile!

Singing along to "Jingle, Jingle, Little Bell"

So cute with the hand movements!

After the performance, we were invited down to her classroom for treats ~ yummy!
We were so proud of our sweet little Alli and her performance!

our 'lil computer geek ;-)

Eli LOVES his gadgets and his current favorite is definitely the computer . . .
Have you seen a cuter smile???  He was having so much fun!
The above picture was taken last Saturday, after our Santa visit.
He was having such a good time that he decided he needed to get closer . . .

No need to worry, as you can see, Daddy was right behind him the whole time,
protecting both Eli and the computer :-)
Given how much Eli LOVES laptops, we decided to give him his own . . .
Before you think we're too crazy, that was my law school laptop (i.e. it is ancient and no longer works!)
Not sure why we held onto it but turns out it makes a GREAT toy
(yes supervised so they can't choke on keys or anything)!  Both kids love "typing"
Eli thought it was great fun to be just like Daddy!
and to put his angel ornament in and pull it out ;-)
Barbie Pop Pop has nicknamed him Inspector Gadget and it definitely fits him!

eli has 13 teeth!!!

No idea when the 3 newest teeth popped through - last week maybe??? He got his first molar (#10 on bottom right) shortly after his first canine (#9 - also bottom right) but today I noticed (thanks to Miss Kaitlyn) 3 new teeth - both his top canines and another molar on the top right. He is growing up so fast - what's happening to my baby??? His gums are so swollen that I think it is only a matter of time before more teeth pop up.

let the holiday parties begin ;-)

This afternoon, we had the first of our Christmas parties . . . the McCormick Woods holiday party at the clubhouse. Both kids had a great time eating/decorating cookies, playing with friends and seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus. Most of our neighborhood play group was there and we took a group shot with Santa and Mrs. Claus. When you get that many little ones together, there is no way to get them all smiling and/or looking at the camera but they were all still very cute!

What a great start to the holiday party season!

Win The Day For Crimson & Gray

Well that was our motto for the day but sadly, it was not meant to be.
Once again, we gathered with the Fisher Fam to watch the
A P P L E  C U P
where the WSU Cougars played the UW Huskies
It was a pretty good game but in the end, the Huskies won ~ BOO!
We, of course, were decked out in our Cougar gear.

We realized we didn't have a shirt for Alli so she wore one of mine and looked absolutely ADORABLE!
Eli was decked out in his Cougar gear and quickly learned that game day is FUN!
He got very into eating and playing with trucks and pom poms :)

I tried hard to get a shot of G but every time I took one, the Huskies were on the TV ~ oops! ;-)
Here are the kiddos rooting on their Cougs with Barbie Gramma (head of the brainwashing committee!)
Alli was only too happy to be cheering for the Cougs!
And was so excited to spend time with her "friend" (as she calls her!) Aunt Lynette.
Our cheering squad for the day . . .
Bummer that they lost but it was a fun day!

Gingerbread fun!

I was released from the hospital Friday afternoon and still pretty sore so we had a very low key Friday Family Fun night that consisted of Daddy and Alli decorating the gingerbread house.  As you can see from the picture, both had a fabulous time and the house turned out great!!!  Eli was perfectly content to play with the phone and I supervised while relaxing on the couch ;-)

Believe it or not, Alli didn't eat all of the candy this year ~ she was content to just decorate the gingerbread cookies and eat one of those! :)

home at last!!!

I was finally released from the hospital this afternoon ~ woo hoo!  It feels so good to be home ;-)  I'm very sore and exhausted but so happy to be home with my family.  It was a crazy week that ended in another surgery late last night where it was discovered that on top of the clot in my uterus, I had a ruptured ovarian cyst that was causing internal bleeding, pain, vomiting and infection ~ yikes!  After a two hour surgery (that completely freaked out my mom) my doctor came out to tell G and my folks that I would feel like a new person in the morning, and I did!  Last night after surgery, I wasn't doing so well due to the pain but today, aside from being sore from surgery, I feel great.  I am so thankful for all of the prayers and hope to be back to myself soon.

the best medicine

Sadly, I'm still in the hospital (hoping to be released tomorrow) but G brought Alli and Eli to visit me this evening and we had THE best time. Lots of snuggles and giggles. I loved showing them off to the nurses :). We took a stroll / wagon ride around the floor, ate pudding and played hide and seek with the closet. They were here for about an hour and a half and I felt so happy to have the whole family together. I got a couple cute pics with the blackberry but I can't figure out how to post them from the bb so they will have to wait until I get home. Please pray that I am well enough to go home tomorrow.

recovering

I am still in the hospital but feeling a lot better. Heavily drugged, which is managing the pain quite well. I am hoping to be released tomorrow afternoon. I miss my kiddos but am thankful to be in the hospital receiving such good care. Hopefully, when I am released, I can go back to my normal routine and no more pain or medications. Thank you for the prayers and warm thoughts. Please continue to pray for peace and quick healing.
