Happy Halloween!

Another AWESOME Halloween!
After naps, we had all of our neighborhood buddies over for fun and pizza before Trick-or-Treating.
The kiddos had a blast playing, eating, decorating Halloween cookies and getting tattoos.
The girls even decided to get into the dress up box and start trying more costumes!
Eli truly enjoyed his black and orange cupcake while I tried to contain the mess
While getting ready for Trick-or-Treating, Eli decided to start grabbing candy from our candy bowl ;-)
I think the look on Alli's face sums up the day ~ lots of joy!
Uncle Z came over to go Trick-or-Treating with us.
He only went to a few houses because Eli wasn't too into it so he volunteered to take him home.
Alli LOVED Trick-or-Treating and there was no skipping houses this year!
She was thrilled with her loot and did a nice job of sharing with Eli when we got home.

eli has tooth #9!

On October 9th, while shopping for some Halloween goodies at Target, Eli showed us that he had cut tooth #9 when he gave a chomp on a finger ~ not his :)  His bottom right "fang" as we call it is now sticking up, making for a very cute, lopsided little grin!

My handsome little man is growing up so fast!!!

Trunk or Treat

This evening was Trunk or Treat at Church and both kids had a BLAST!!!
Eli definitely enjoyed the treats and spent most of his time "helping" Barbie Gramma hand out treats
by eating all of her treats ;-)
Not surprisingly, given that we heard the same things when Alli was the fish, everyone thought Eli's costume was the cutest they had seen ~ we agree!  We love that fish costume!!!

Princess Aurora Alli had a splendid time going from trunk to trunk to collect treats
before landing in Barbie Gramma's trunk with Eli
I love that both kiddos have the "uh oh, she caught us!" look on their faces ;-)
They loved the chocolate!
Once the Trunk or Treating was completed, it was time to go inside for games and face painting.
Alli LOVED the purple and pink butterflies on her cheeks!
Eli and Alli both enjoyed coloring and spending time with Barbie Gramma and Pop Pop

A great time was had by all and we are so thankful that our church puts on such a great event!

Halloween Parade at Noah's Ark Preschool

Today was the Halloween Parade at Alli's preschool.
Our 'lil Princess Aurora Alli (as she calls herself!) had a blast.

Although he didn't get to participate, Eli had fun watching his sister dance around in her costume!

Halloween Fun with Great Pop & the Fishers

Tonight, we had dinner with G's family and enjoyed playing with Barbie Gramma's Halloween decorations and witch hat ~ even Uncle Z and Great Pop got in on the fun . . .
Eli was having a spooktacular time as Cap'n Spooky ;-)

McCormick Woods Halloween Party

What a crazy day!

It was pouring down rain all day but then suddenly, there was a break of sun just in time for the party.
Princess Aurora and the 'lil fish were thrilled.
Okay, so Eli wasn't too sure about his costume but was a trooper.

Alli was such a big helper holding Eli's hand!
Once we got to the party, of course it started pouring again.
Thank goodness the party as in a heated tent!
The kids had fun sampling treats and playing games.

Although wet, it was a very fun afternoon and we are glad we went.
Too bad we left early because we learned later that Eli was the pick for cutest costume!

eli discovers the iPhone

Uncle Z stopped by to visit this afternoon and let Eli play with his iPhone.  Eli thought this was about the coolest thing ever!!!  Mommy and Daddy just have boring flip phones that don't do much more than make phone calls ~ poor boy ;-)
He was soooooo proud!

He even figured out how to move the screen and open apps!
Uncle Z was trying to find something and Eli thought he should be the one doing it :)
You can just hear him thinking "Give it back Uncle Z ~ my turn again!"
 Score!  Got it back!!!
Eli simply giggles when Uncle Z tries to get his phone back ;-)
Eli was less than pleased when Uncle Z took back the phone but he found one of his bunnies and snuggled that instead.

homemade playdoh fun

Since it was almost Halloween, we decided to get crafty and make some homemade, orange, edible playdoh.  Alli was a big helper with making the playdoh and both kids loved playing with it.
As we expected, Eli tried to eat some ;-)

Alli gave it a try but didn't think it tasted too good ~ can't say I blame her!

Doesn't get much cuter than this!
Two clean kiddos, snuggling before bed :)

the fish are baaaack . . .

The pumpkin fish that is!
Remember last year???
Well, we decided pumpkin fish were a fun tradition so this week for Friday Family Fun Night, we ate pizza, watched Alice in Wonderland and carved pumpkins to look like fish.
Okay, so G did most of the carving but Alli and I helped clean the inside ;-)
Eli wasn't too interested and crashed before we were done but he was a big fan the next morning.

G is the big scary fish, of course!  Looks like he's going to eat the rest of us ;-)
Notice Alli's "pigtails" ~ G thought that would be perfect for her and I couldn't agree more!
This was so much fun!
