Luke: Two Months

Yikes!  Two months already!!!
(okay, so he is now almost 2.5 months but the pics are from 2 months!)
At two months we are beginning to see more of Luke's precious smiles,
though not so much during this photo shoot ;-)
Luke is weighing in at 11 lbs 12 oz and is 22.5 inches
(neck & neck with Eli for those who are curious!)
He's wearing size 1 Pampers Swaddlers but about to move up to size 2 (is in 2's now!)
Size 3 month clothing is starting to get snug and he will be in 3-6 month size any day now.
Luke handled his shots like a little trooper ~ cried his first real tears but calmed down very quickly.
He spent the next couple days napping a lot but then his cold got much worse.
He was miserable on his two month birthday and by the next day, had pretty much lost his voice :*(
We went back to see Dr. Diaz and found out he had an ear infection so at two months,
our sweet baby was put on antibiotics.
Fortunately, that cold and ear infection has finally passed.
Of course, that means our sweet Luke's little voice has returned as well and he is using it . . . A LOT!
We adore the little munchkin so much!
At two months, Luke is a pretty great sleeper.
He goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 and usually gets up only once during the night between 2 and 3 a.m.
He's typically up for the day around 8 or 8:30 a.m.
At two months, Luke LOVES to nap in his swing, which also helps with his severe reflux.
(He's on meds for that too!)
At two months, Alli and Eli are still completely in love with their baby brother
and they are even starting to call him Luke more than baby Guppy!!!
Luke's eyes get very big when he hears them and he usually has the biggest smiles for his big sis.

At two months, we have to remind Eli to be gentle with his "loves" for Luke.
Eli loves being a big brother and gives lots of smooches to little Luke.

At two months, we are finally starting to feel like we are finding a new normal
and couldn't be more in love with our littlest fish!
Despite all the fussiness, we love you so much Lukey and cannot wait to explore the world with you!!!

Seven Weeks & Smiling

So he actually gave me his first smile at 5 weeks but today I finally caught it on camera!!!
Nothing like a sweet grin like this to forget the fussies ;-)
He's also starting to stick out his tongue,
which is not only cute but great as it means he's finally nursing better!

He is such a total doll!!!

Our Visit with Santa

So I am finally trying to get caught up with the blog, this begins the slew of Christmas posts . . .

Once again we visited Santa at the Log Cabin and it was a hit!
Okay, so we never did manage to get a "great" picture but we had fun :-)

Eli wasn't about to smile but was happy to give Santa his list, sit on his lap and take a candy cane.
Both kiddos dictated their letters to us (We helped Eli!) and signed them.
Alli was so excited this year and had no trouble talking to Santa, telling him what she (and Eli!) wanted, giving him a candy cane craft she made, sitting on his lap and smiling up a storm!
Our baby girl is getting so brave!!!

As you can see, Alli and Eli really enjoyed those candy canes!
It was very sweet as both were concerned that Luke didn't get one :-)

A Short but AWESOME Visit with Big Johnson

Tonight, one of our dearest friends from our Air Force days was in town for work and came over to visit.
To say we were thrilled, would be an understatement!
We adore our Johnsons and while we wish Tiff and the girls could have joined Big J on the trip,
we were so happy to have him here and sure wish we all lived closer to each other.

Alli and Eli couldn't get enough of him and I think Uncle Z may have some serious competition!

Big J heard "again" many times from these two munchkins :-)

The poor kiddos were so bummed when they had to go to bed.
Eli gave him "knucks" and Alli talked him into doing prayers with her before giving him hugs ~ so sweet!

Luke was also very impressed with Big J but now really wants to meet Aunt Tiff and the girls . . .
hint, hint!
Thank you so much for the visit Justin!!!
We love you and miss you already!  Maybe we need to take a trip to Texas . . .

Sweet Siblings

Last night, these three sweeties were so cute together . . .
Luke had a full belly and was ready for some sweet sibling snuggles,
which this big sis was more than happy to provide!
Big bro wanted in on the action too but wasn't about to give up his doctor toy,
which apparently tastes very good ;-)
He finally gave it up when it was his turn to hold Luke.
Thankfully, little Mommy (aka Alli) was there to watch him.
Luke pooped while sitting on Eli's lap, providing lots of smiles and giggles for the two bigs ;-)
How cute are these three???
The photo shoot had to come to an end when Alli left the couch
and Eli thought he could hold Luke without hands!
We LOVE these three munchkins!

I did it!!!

I took all three kiddos shopping by myself this afternoon!!!
I am so proud of myself ;-)
Laugh if you must but the thought of doing this was terrifying to me.
My friend told me that once I did it, I would feel better about it ~ she was so right!
Thank you Sarah!!!
We needed to get grapes for Alli's school snack and some more gifts for the Angel Tree
so when the munchkins were up from their afternoon naps,
we piled in the car and headed out to Walmart and Fred Meyer.
Luke was a gem and slept most of the time in the sling,
while Eli rode in the front of the cart and Alli rode in the back of the cart.
Thankfully, the two big kids were great shoppers.
I am beyond excited that our first solo outing was such a success.
Maybe, just maybe, having three kiddos won't be so scary after all . . .
Score one for Mommy ;-)

Sibling Love: A & E

It was a little quiet in the back seat yesterday on our way home from family pictures.
This is what I saw when I looked back . . .
How sweet is this?????
They were holding hands all by themselves.
Since Luke was born, they seem to enjoy playing together even more!
