Books, Spinning and Chocolate

Need I say more???
After VBS today, we went to the library to pick up some books the kiddos had on hold.
We got there about 15 minutes before the library opened so we walked over to "dizzy" park.
The three of them LOVE spinning :-)
Since we were going to the library, no arguing when I said it was time to go ~ score!
After getting the books, the kiddos said they wanted ice cream and I decided to say "YES!"
{Note that this gave me super cool mom status for the afternoon}
We walked to the new public market and found ice cream.
Alli is her Mommy's girl . . . choosing vanilla, while the boys wanted chocolate.
As we were getting the ice cream we ran into two of our favorite people:
Pastor George and Norma, we were all thrilled.
After visiting a bit, we headed back toward the marina to enjoy the ice cream.
Needless to say, Lukey got a tubby as soon as we got home!
Fun afternoon!!!

The Dock is in!!!

Thanks to Daddy's amazing attitude and willingness to swim at night :-)
In order to get the dock in the water, the tide has to be really high, which was happening around 8pm!
Luckily, he had some cute little helpers to help push the dock.
But he was on his own in swimming ~ Barbie Pop Pop stayed in sweats.
Good thing Daddy is such a good sport!
Alli was waiting on shore with a towel for her Daddy, then it was time for s'mores, which were enjoyed by all but Lukey, who was VERY tired by this point ~ way past bedtime!
Ready for another great beach season with the dock!

Yard Work Helper

This August we will have lived in our house for 6 years,
and for 6 years my hubby has been promising we would landscape behind our back wall.
Last summer, we cleared it (actually, we paid Kaitlyn's little brother to do it).
This spring, we finally added dirt (which Eli LOVED)
A huge pile of dirt provided hours of fun ~ digging, climbing, sliding down = F.U.N. Fun!!!

Following Daddy with many loads was also fun!

Finally, after 6 years of "planning," today was the day for buying and planting ~ YEAH!!!
Mommy placed plants where she wanted them, but the boys were in charge of planting.
While Lukey napped (and Alli was with Barbie Gramma) these two handsome men worked hard.

Okay, the big guy worked hard and the little guy had fun with worms and asking questions:-)

Daddy found lots of worms while digging and Eli could not get over how cool this was!
He LOVES worms :-)

Our plants are small, and it may be another 6 years before it looks complete, but it's finally on the way and I could not be happier.  Poor G on the other hand has a sore back but a very appreciative wife!!!

Jurassic Quest

After church today, we headed to the fairgrounds for Jurassic Quest to see dinosaurs and play.
The boys are especially into dinosaurs right now ~ we read The Berenstain Bears Dinosaur Dig A LOT!  All three kiddos enjoyed seeing the life size dinosaurs but Lukey was by far the most entertaining as he was terrified yet drawn to the T-Rex.  Having to be held because the T-Rex was "roaring at him" but refusing to go anywhere else and eventually roaring back ~ so cute and funny!

The big kids LOVED the dinosaur bounce house slides and obstacle courses, while Lukey preferred to stay right at the entrance and bounce just a bit ~ he was a bit overwhelmed by all the people.

Again, the big kids LOVED the dinosaur dig and spent a good half hour finding dinosaur bones.
It was so cute to see them work together.  Lukey wanted to go back to see the T-Rex :-)
He came back in time to see Alli and Eli ride the dinosaurs, which they loved!
All three wanted to go to the gift shop and picked out a fun new toy.
Since we told them that was coming out of their piggy banks, it was cute to see how discerning Alli was :-)
Lukey picked a tube of dinosaurs that he and Eli have played with all evening, Alli a dinosaur egg that will hatch, and Eli a stuffy Triceratops, which he named "Cutie"

It was such a fun family afternoon!
All of us had fun and Eli keeps asking when we can go see the dinosaurs again.
Guess a trip to the Science Center is in order this summer.

Family Fun at the Park

Yesterday was a day of birthday parties for the Fisher Fam.
It started out with a party for our sweet neighbor Rachael who was turning 2.
The kiddos had tons of fun playing in her backyard and munching on snacks.
All three of our kiddos adore Rachael but Alli is most smitten with her and made her a fleece blanket.
Then it was off to the park for our little niece Sophie's 1st birthday party.
We all had a great time and sweet Sophie was absolutely precious!!!
The entire G Fisher Fam decided to ride the teeter-totter.
G and Alli outweighed Mommy and boys but it was fun and a bit wild :-)
The kiddos loved seeing Mickey and Minnie (it was a Minnie Mouse theme)
and thoroughly enjoyed the Minnie cupcakes.
When we got home, the kiddos changed into swimsuits and played with their water shooters.
Not really that warm of a day but when you're little, I guess you don't care :-)
A great family day and so much fun to celebrate two sweet girls.

Friday Family Fun Night with Water

When we stopped by the Dollar Store this afternoon, we found these water shooters.
The kiddos had so much fun with these at a friend's house last summer that we decided to buy 5.
Talk about fun!!!
All three kiddos had a blast shooting each other with water!
They took a quick break for dinner on the patio before playing with more water.
After deciding they were cold, they went inside for more pizza.
Hungry little hippos :-)
Rather than agreeing on a movie for Friday Family Fun night, the three of them (well, really Alli and Eli) came up with the plan that they could each choose one episode of a show on Netflix so we watched Lego Friends (Alli), Chuck and Friends (Eli) and the Hungry Caterpillar (Lukey).
What a fun family night we had, perfect start to the long weekend!

What time is it????

FUN RUN TIME

What I heard shouted many times by the students this week at Alli's school :-)
What fun Alli had!
She completed 40 laps ~ way to go Alli!

All week long, Big Dog and Thunder (the two guys running the fun run)
had music blaring outside in the morning as the students arrived at school - a huge dance party.
Alli, Eli and Lukey all LOVED going to school this week ~ asking to go early.
High fives were a must with Big Dog and Thunder!
Of course, after hot, sunny weather all week, it was raining this morning ~ bummer.
Oh well, run was moved inside to the gym and went great.
I worked all three sessions and had a blast watching the kiddos but
my favorite was definitely the 1st /  2nd grade session, they were by far the cutest!!!
How cute are they as they excitedly waited for their turn to run???
There is no pacing yourself when you're little ~ they had one speed . . .
sprinting as fast as they could the entire time
I ran most of this session with Alli and had to sprint myself to keep up with her!!!
It was such a blast!
After I finished with the final session, I was able to join Alli for Fun Friday recess.
She and her buddy Caitlin were being silly little monkeys.

By this time, of course, it was sunny and beautiful.
Perfect because anyone who ran at least 30 laps got to dump water on Mrs. Ripley.
I'm pretty sure the entire class got to do this :-)  Poor Mrs. Ripley was soaked but a great sport!

It was such a fun day and Alli was so proud to have raised $530!!!

Agape League

One year ago, this weekend, we began attending our church.
Our first day there, the children's choir performed during the service to preview their performance that night.  Alli was enthralled.  Fast forward to this January when they were hyping up the children's choir play, Agape League.  Alli insisted she wanted to do it even though it meant changing gymnastics days ~ a huge deal for her as it meant leaving her buddy.  So we signed her up, and since January, she has been rehearsing every Thursday evening.
Well, this weekend was the performance and she had a BLAST!!!
It was adorable and we were so proud of our little choir gal.
On Saturday, her neighborhood buddies came to see her and they had so much fun posing after the performance.  She was so happy to have her pals there supporting her!  What cuties :-)
She was even willing to pose with Eli, who keeps asking when he gets to join the choir.

The kiddos are supposed to be 6 so a couple more years.  Man was he bummed, I mean it was all about super heroes!!!  Eli came home tonight and put on his cape pretending to be Freezer Burn,
the super hero with the ability of patience who can freeze time!
Lukey was just thrilled to watch it and sing along with all of the songs ~ such a hoot!
Alli had quite the cheering section tonight, as the entire family (minus Ducky Gramma and Papa, who came to opening night!) came, as well as Todd & Stacy, Miss Kaitlyn and Mrs. Otis (her Kindergarten teacher from last year ~ big hit!!!)
Alli was so excited to see everyone before the show while handing out programs outside.
Way to go Alli!!!  We LOVED watching you sing and perform for the Lord!

T-Ball Game = Fun Times

Last weekend was a great one for t-ball.
The whole family LOVES going to the games . . .
I love watching Eli, G loves coaching,
Alli loves playing with her buddies, going to the snack stand and visiting the park,
and Luke just loves playing and watching his big bro . . . wishing he was on the field too.
Friday night, Eli was doing great and even played catcher for an inning ~ so CUTE!!!

Lukey was in rare form that night and took over my chair to enjoy his snacks and play peek-a-boo.

One of the best parts of t-ball for the kiddos is that Selah (our neighbor and one of Eli's best buddies) is on the team too, meaning that Alli's buddy Emilie and Lukey's buddy Drew are there too,
leading to lots of fun during and after the games.
After one of the games, the big sisters decided to switch little siblings for piggy back rides.
Needless to say, Eli and Selah found this to be very fun :-)
T-Ball is definitely turning out to be loads of fun, can't wait to see future seasons!

Lighthouse Reads 2014 ~ 1st Grade

Another year of Lighthouse Reads is behind us.
In 10 weeks, Alli had to read 1000 minutes to us and we had to read 1000 minutes to her.
Just like last year, we started off reading Priscilla (Mommy's favorite childhood chapter book).
Alli likes it so much that she asked if there are any more Priscilla books, turns out there is a sequel.
So we ordered it and enjoyed it as much as the first, and Mommy cried again!
Also like last year, Alli didn't want to quit at 1000 so this year she hit 1700 minutes.
She was so proud of herself and we were pretty proud of her too!
After the assembly, we went for some Menchie's just like last year.
Way to go Alli, love seeing you enjoy reading and showing off your two medals!
You rock baby girl!!!
