BLAST OFF! Discovering the God of Creation

This was Alli's second year participating in CRCC's Spring Musical and she did AWESOME!

This year was a space theme . . . 

Alli LOVES singing in the choir with her buddies and we love learning the songs with her :-)

She began rehearsals back in January and this weekend she had two performances.

She was so excited to have her family there . . . Ducky Gramma, Papa, Uncle Tony, Aunt Jenee and Cousin Bella made it to Saturday's performance (unfortunately, no pictures from the first night).

Tonight's performance was just as cute and the kiddos seemed a bit more relaxed!

Her fan club tonight included Barbie Gramma, Grandpa, Uncle Z, Miss Kaitlyn, Uncle Danny, Rhonda, Cousin Sophie, Mrs. Ferrell and Sammi!!!

The best part about it being the last performance was the kiddos could go up on stage to get pictures with the set ~ they couldn't wait to sit in the spaceship seats :-)

Of course, Alli also had to pose for some pictures with one of her favorite church buddies!

What an amazing opportunity for Alli and her friends to share the truth about God in such a fun manner!  She did such a great job and we love seeing her shine on stage :-)

Mom's Tea at Pre-K

Today was AMAZING and all because I got to spend the morning with this handsome little man!

We attended the Mother's Tea at his Pre-K class.  Eli was SUPER excited about this.  Last night {when he was supposed to be sleeping!} he came downstairs to give me one more giddy hug as he told me how he couldn't wait for our Mother's Tea ~ so, so sweet!!!  Then, this morning, he happily agreed to put on a collared shirt with buttons and his church shoes.  This is big stuff for Eli as he only likes to wear "cozy clothes!"  

When we arrived, he showed me the flower pot he made for me and on the back of his picture he wrote, "Mommy is grateful"  What a gift to hear that is how my son sees me, now I need to live up to it!!!  We enjoyed some yummy snacks and lemonade, Eli even made a plate for me, though he ate my cinnamon rolls and I ate his strawberries :-)

We played the game Guess the Mom and I had NO trouble guessing me by what Eli had to say ;-)

Yep, Rescue Bots is one of my favorite shows!  Helps that we don't have cable ;-)

After the game, the kiddos sang the sweetest songs and recited a poem.

Fun Sunny Sunday

Today was another fun and productive day!

We started the morning with a great service at Church and a decision to have a picnic lunch in the park, per Eli's request :-)  When we got home from church, the kiddos went outside to play while we packed the lunches.  Lukey came in complaining that his tummy hurt but there was no fever and he seemed okay so we suggested he hang out inside for a bit.  Garrett was assembling our new outdoor chest for toys and Lukey decided to be his helper ~ he ran upstairs to get his tool box and came down announcing, "okay Daddy, I got my tools so we can work now!" The most precious part was that Garrett actually borrowed Lukey's plastic hammer, needless to say, that was a big hit!

After putting together the "treasure chest" as Luke called it, Lukey laid down on the ground.

He just wasn't himself.  I asked if he wanted to take a nap and he said yes  ~ it was 11:30!

The bigs were busy, and lunches were made so G and I decided to clean up the back patio.  My amazing big brother dropped off his pressure washer for us to borrow and it worked great!!!

The bigs were starting to get anxious so at 1:15 I went up to check on Luke, he said he didn't want to go to the park, he just wanted to stay in bed so we decided G would take the bigs and I would stay with Luke.  Alli was NOT happy with this arrangement and within 15 minutes Luke came downstairs and was all smiles ready to go to the park so off we went figuring he was just cranky when he first woke up, after all there was no fever or any other signs of illness . . . 

As soon as we got to the park, all three kiddos took off running to play while 

G and I set up our picnic blanket and babysat Alli's doll.  

They were having so much fun going down slides and being monkeys.

It was going so well until we heard crying and Eli was running toward us . . . 

Yep, Lukey threw up on the play structure and I managed to get a picture even though I didn't know it what was happening, I was just excited to get all three in on shot.  Little did I know.

Thankfully, we were at the park right by Ducky Gramma and Papa's house so Lukey and I went there after trying to clean the play structure.  Poor guy did NOT feel good :(  He sat with me and watched a movie while I washed our coats at my folks' (they were both covered in vomit).

G and the bigs stayed at the park for another couple of hours having a blast.

Eli introduced himself to some little boys and joined their football game, while Alli played on the monkey bars and enjoyed the time with her Daddy.  Then all three of them went to the batting cages and had fun hitting balls.

They walked over to my folks' house and we drove home.

It was so precious to hear Alli reading Eli one of his favorite Easter books "Jelly Bean."

G leaves tomorrow for a two week stint in San Diego for the Air Force so it was the perfect family day.  Sadly, poor little Luke's tummy is still pretty upset, even small amounts of water are making him sick :(  I went over to warn his best buddy's mom only to find out that his little buddy started throwing up this afternoon too ~ poor little ones!  

Hopefully, it passes quickly for both of them and they don't share with anyone.

Our Mini Builders

This morning was so much fun as we headed to Lowe's to build Monster Trucks.

Garrett has taken the bigs before but this was a first for Mommy & Lukey.

There was much excitement and anticipation.

All was going so well as Daddy helped Lukey while Mommy took pictures and helped the bigs with the occasional nail as they could "do it without help!" :-)

 Eli had a blast and let me help start the nails on the wheels and help with stickers :-)

Our poor little Alli was doing so great until she hit her finger with a hammer and got a blood blister.  Apparently she has her Mommy's queasiness when it comes to that as she lost all color in her face, was dizzy and felt like she was going to be sick ~ poor thing spent the rest of the build on the ground and even laid down for a bit when we got home.  I was so similar when I got a blood blister (also 8 years old!)

She couldn't even muster a smile for the final picture.  

I have to chuckle that this really was the best we could do for a picture of all three ;-)

Luckily, the rest of day went much better for Alli and all three little fish enjoyed a sunny afternoon of playing outside with friends.  All three are excited for their next build in two weeks!

What Does the Fox Say???

Tonight, Alli and 12 of her buddies performed a dance routine to the song "What Does the Fox Say?" at their school's talent show.  Seriously, it was the Cutest.Thing.Ever.

It doesn't get much more adorable than this sweet elephant!

She loved having her face painted and posing with one of her second grade teachers, Mrs. Tarr.

It was such a fun evening for the whole family and we LOVED seeing all of the kiddos performing!

What a blessing that both of Alli's teachers and their husbands attended the show to cheer on their second grade performers.  One of Alli's classmates did a kick boxing demonstration with her dad.  The boys thought that and the sword fighting routine were the BEST, next to Alli's performance of course.  Lukey also loved the Frozen routine to "The Frozen Heart" done by some 4th grade girls, he turned to me with a huge smile and said, "that's my very favorite song!" Yes, yes it is :-)

We had so much fun seeing our precious girl on stage and we are looking forward to many more years of entertaining talent shows!!!

Highlights of 2014

Since I haven't been the best at keeping up with the blog this year, 

I figured I would do a recap with highlights of our year . . . 

2014 has been a FABULOUS year for the G Fisher Fam!

January 1st, 2014 began with lots of playing . . . 

Then we quickly moved on to the birthday & football celebrations . . . 

March was the month for dates and sports . . . 

April was time for Easter Egg Hunts and conquering the thyroid cancer scare, praise God!

May was a time to play in the sun . . .

June marked the beginning of our fantastic Summer break . . .

July was a super fun month spent on vacation . . . 

August continued with tons of fun outside . . . 

Though it was hard to say goodbye to Summer, September brought plenty of fun too . . .

We also celebrated Nikki's ##th Birthday on the 23rd with a fun party at Casper's Pizza Place.  Lots of fun but somehow managed to not take any pictures ~ OOPS! :-)

October was a time to celebrate our little Lukey's birthday, Nikki's Baptism, Eli's soccer skills & Halloween . . . 

 Eli had the BEST time playing soccer for the Sharks this year!  He even dressed Lukey in soccer gear for some of the games and Lukey had fun participating in the warm up exercises :-)

Halloween was so much fun with year!  G and Eli carved a Jack-O-Lantern at Pre-K and the kiddos carved fish pumpkins at home.  Both boys dressed up as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for their class parties, but Eli decided to be a Race Car Driver on Halloween night.  Alli was Kiera the Pop Star from Barbie Princess and the Pop Star (costume made by Mommy).

Highlight of the month was celebrating our little Lukey turning 3!  We had a party at the house the Sunday before his birthday with friends and family but on his actual birthday (October 29th) the G Fisher Fam went bowling (Lukey's choice) and we had a great time.  He made his Mommy so happy by falling asleep in my arms while Daddy read him "Happy Birthday to You"

November was a busy month with very few pictures but we enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving with family and watching our kiddos at school activities . . . 

Eli received the Fruit of the Spirit Award for "Love".  

He shows love for his classmates by offering to share his show & tell or snack when someone forgets to bring theirs and always offers to play with others.  Makes this Mommy super proud!

 Alli was part of the Thank You to Veteran's at her school's Veteran's Day Assembly, attended by Daddy and Ducky Papa.

She also had the part of a Native American during her school Thanksgiving Day assembly.

SUPER CUTE!!!

December, as always, has been a whirlwind of Christmas activities . . . 

All three of the kiddos were precious in their Christmas concerts.

 We had a blast decorating for Christmas!

Tonight, Alli is spending the night with a classmate, the boys are finally in bed after a fun night of pizza and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Mommy & Daddy.

It truly has a been a blessed year for the G Fisher Fam.  This is not to say it has been smooth sailing all the time, but we have come out of the year even stronger than when it began :-)

I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us in 2015!
